Simon and Elizabeth. I've not talked about them much. Liz is Vlad's daughter, and she shows up on the scene after her older brother Arthur kicks the bucket. She's a necromancer, but that's another story. Simon is her eternal fiance. It never really works out, because 1) he is an ass, 2) he betrays her FOR THE GREATER GOOD!!!, and 3) oh yeah, she's gay.

Well, it took HOURS, but I finally got the perspective RIGHT on this next piece-- unfortunately I managed to completely ruin the piece of bristol I was working on. Also my ruler left...well I think it's some kind of tarnish. On the paper. Which was very lovely I might mention.

So I'm gonna have to transfer the whole thing to a different piece. I'm at a loss, tho'-- I'm thinking about laying down a piece of tracing paper, going over it lightly with a colored pencil, covering the back with charcoal or a really dark pencil or something, then...yeah, y'know. Any ideas, kids?

Man, am I tired. Right now I should be in bed but I TRIED and that didn't work out.

So. I go to this writing club. It's pretty great, and there are a few good people there. So I was bitching at someone there a while ago, complaining about how I was totally totally stuck on a Menagerie-Linny story and how it refused to move.

Most of them seem to have pretty bizarre solutions to things. This time it was "like, give her something exciting-- like a new power! or a love interest!" and I'm like "okay in the first place Linny terrifies me ENOUGH and also, I fail to see how this will help me accomplish like anything."
